Abstract

This work describes the results obtained from interdisciplinary studies carried out on an Andin mummy preserved in the Civic Museums of Reggio Emilia and entrusted to the Department of Histories and Methods for Cultural Heritage Preservation of the University of Bologna where it was subjected to careful museum-graphical, anthroposcopic, radiographic and topographic researches and to X-Rays Fluorescence spectroscopy investigations. These preliminary investigations gave important results and, for the forthcoming work, deeper investigations have been planned, together with hypothesis about possible restoration interventions.
